ANZ Championship and BLK partner up for 2016

The ANZ Championship, the world’s best Netball league, will partner up with BLK for the 2016 season.

The one-year deal will see ten teams and the umpires in the ANZ Championship outfitting with BLK gear throughout the 18-week, 72-game competition.

The arrangement continues BLK Sports strong relationship with Netball, with partnerships in place with the Silver Ferns, Australian Diamonds and England.

“The ANZ Championship has a proud history, now in it’s ninth year, and this relationship shows that BLK is committed not only to Netball, but to Women’s Sports in general,” BLK Chief Executive Officer Tyron Brant said.

“Already the action this year has gone to another level, with the defending champion Queensland Firebirds equalling the league record of 16 consecutive wins, while already this season there have been two thrilling draws.”

“It promises to be an exciting 2016 season and we look forward to more exhilarating action in the weeks to come.”

With three rounds already played, the ANZ Championship will culminate with the Grand Final on the weekend of July 31.
